SOS CUTS – Self-adhesive bandage - Urgo
Perfectly adapted to emergency situations , URGO SOS CUTS – self-adhesive tape stops the bleeding in a few steps and allows you to immediately resume your activity.
The band URGO SOS CUTS is stretchy, so it stops bleeding by compression. It is also self-adhesive, repositionable and can be cut by hand, making it easy and convenient to use. No need for scissors or adhesive, the strip holds on its own!
Its ergonomic pack promotes a good grip and allows easy and quick application of the strip. Its pinch tip makes it easy to cut. Hygienic , its base protects the strip after use.
Instructions for use:
For a first application:
- Unroll the strip to the desired length.
- Wrap the bandage 2 to 3 times, overlapping slightly, over the entire wound area to stop the bleeding.
- Pinch the tip of the product to lock the strip, then pull the strip lengthwise until it tears.
Remove the strip as soon as the bleeding has stopped and no later than 30 minutes after application.
Clean, disinfect, rinse and dry the wound.
Apply a suitable dressing if necessary.
For subsequent uses: For hygiene reasons, do not use the part protruding from the packaging. Before reusing, cut off and discard the piece protruding from the packaging. Then follow the same instructions as for the first use.
Precautions for use:
- To avoid a tourniquet effect (risk of edema or necrosis):
- Do not apply for more than 30 minutes.
- Avoid excessive tension when applying to ensure blood flow.
- As soon as you feel unpleasant sensations (tingling, sensitivity disorders, etc.), immediately remove or loosen the strip.
- Once the tape is applied, do not use objects that could get caught on the tape.
- Do not repeat the application once the bleeding has stopped.
- To avoid the risk of infection:
- Do not reuse a piece of used tape. Reusing a single-use product may cause infection risks.
- Be careful not to touch the part of the strip that will be in contact with the wound.
- Keep the product in its original packaging.
- A healthcare professional should be consulted if bleeding has not stopped within 15 minutes, particularly if you are taking anticoagulant medication, or if the bleeding is heavy or in spurts.
